Band muster rolls, 1861-1865.

Muster rolls of Illinois musicians assigned to bands serving with federal units include each musician's name; rank; age; birthplace; occupation; colors of eyes, hair, and complexion; height; enlistment date and place; individual who enlisted musician; muster in date and place; mustering officer name; last pay date; bounty amount due; clothing account; and town, county, and state credited with musician's enlistment. Most rolls also contain muster out date and place; officer commanding detachment; and roll certification by another post officer. Rolls are included for Illinois musicians in bands assigned to the following units: 2d Brigade, 3d Division, Fourth Army Corps; 1st Brigade, 3d Division, Eleventh Army Corps; 2d Brigade, 2d Division, Fourteenth Army Corps; 1st Brigade, 3d Division, Fourteenth Army Corps; 1st Brigade, 3d Division, Twentieth Army Corps; Brigadier General Jaspar Adalmor Maltby's Brigade stationed at Vicksburg.
